Boulebar in Rålambshovsparken ("Rålis"), a bar and restaurant with outdoor boules lanes alongside the waters of Riddarfjärden, is open during the summer months. Have something to eat, cool off with an ice cream or beer and challenge your friends to a game of boules or two.
Boulebar opens up their boules lanes for boules in the sun on Norr Mälarstrand. Right next door to the park, they have 14 boules lanes and 200 outdoor seats, as well as 80 covers inside the restaurant in case the weather turns. Outdoor boules combines with French-inspired food, ice cream and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, perfect for all kinds of groups - boules veterans and novices alike. A great destination for everything from corporate kick-offs to relaxed socialising in the sun.
If you want to accompany your game with a refreshing drink, you can buy beer and cocktails from the outdoor bar while the restaurant serves a menu including lamb burgers that can be eaten al fresco, whether you're playing boules or not. If you fancy trying your hand at the game but are unsure about the rules and technique, you can take part in a fun mini tournament that includes the assistance of a boules instructor. The games are 90 or 120 minutes long and, if you pay a little more, the price includes a picnic with French cheeses, sourdough baguette and other goodies.
The boules lanes are popular, so it's a good idea to book your boules evening in advance to be sure of getting a spot.
