Håll Käft & Ät

Home-style restaurant in Fritsla

In Fritsla, a few miles south of Borås, Johan and Ulrika Arnell have transformed their outbuilding into a rustic home-style restaurant with space for 20 people. The small restaurant has become popular among both locals and guests from further afield. Tasting menus and drink packages are served around a long table where conversations can flow freely. Seasonal and local produce is at the heart of the cooking here.

Tran

Vietnamese by the lake

Whether Restaurang Tran got its name from its location next to Transås Lake or from the owners' family name, we shall leave unsaid – either way, this Vietnamese eatery is a lovely spot for both lunch and dinner. Dennis and Linh Tran serve homemade food that reflects the family's roots in Vietnam, with authentic flavours and plenty of greens.

Vito's

View over town

Savour Nordic cuisine in the form of dishes made from Swedish and often locally sourced ingredients, along with a wine that the staff are happy to help you choose. To accompany this, you are treated to one of Borås' perhaps best views all year round, thanks to the restaurant's large windows overlooking Sandwalls plats. At the weekend, they also serve brunch.

Restaurang Nordiska

A taste journey through the Nordics

Nordiska is on Västerbrogatan 15 in Borås. They serve dinner with a focus on seasonal Nordic ingredients. The menu is regularly updated to reflect which ingredients are available. Nordiska aims to create an experience beyond the ordinary, taking guests on a taste journey through Scandinavian cuisine. In terms of drinks, you can choose from everything from raw juices from northern Sweden to sparkling wine from Skåne.

Adrian

Persian food cooked with love

At Adrian Restaurang, you can experience authentic Persian and Afghan cuisine cooked according to traditional recipes passed down through generations. Chargrilled meat with saffron rice, flavourful stews, and Afghan dumplings are classics on the menu that not only fill the guests' stomachs but also tell the story of the owners' roots and culinary heritage. The friendly staff have doubtless contributed to the restaurant's loyal customer base.

Balthazar

France meets Sweden with extra everything

The idea for what is now Balthazar was born from the combination of twelve litres of champagne, the three wise men, and a cartoon character. The result was a meeting place for everyone who loves food and community. At Balthazar, you will find both a café and bakery, a restaurant, boules, and shuffleboard. The menu offers flavours from both Swedish and French cuisines with dishes such as steak tartare, moules frites, and classic beef tenderloin with truffle fries and béarnaise sauce.

La Copita

Spanish favourites

La Copita's menu lists an abundance of Spanish classics, featuring everything from various types of tapas to paella and delights from the grill. The wine list is continually updated so you can find your favourites and wine that best complements what's on your plate. They're passionate about combining food and drink, and staff are happy to share their best tips. In the rustic and cosy surroundings, candles flicker and the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner for two, as well as an evening filled with good friends, family, and culinary delights.

Khói

Fresh dishes from Vietnam

At Khói, Vietnamese influences dominate, but the menu also incorporates elements from other parts of Asia. Drop in for lunch or dinner with fresh flavours, or enjoy an after-work drink with a well-mixed cocktail in hand. The venue is cosy, adorned with wall murals, basket lamps, and green plants.

Thai Silk

Traditional Thai with Western Influences

In the kitchen at Thai Silk, traditional Thai dishes are given a modern and Western twist. Imported, fresh spices and herbs meet quality meat from local producers, resulting in a flavourful and varied menu including stir-fries, curries, and noodles. In addition to the à la carte menu, there is also a bountiful buffet filled with Thai flavours available for lunch, dinner, and Saturday brunch.

Noosh

Feel the Latin American warmth

In elegant premises next to the Grand Square lies Noosh, a Latin American eatery whose philosophy is “less ego, more amigo.” With a vast selection of exciting small plates, the place is ideal for a sharing dinner with friends, but you can also opt for the classic setup of starter, main course, and dessert. Don't miss checking out the drinks menu, which offers everything from sangria to cocktails.

Köket

Seasonal

What was once a street kitchen is now a full-scale restaurant with a bistro, a delightful outdoor seating area, and a carefully composed wine list. The kitchen's menu follows the seasonal changes, with flavours from both Scandinavia and the rest of Europe as a common thread. In the bistro, classic bistro dishes such as pasta and steak frites are served.
