The Ancient Mariner is a proper neighbourhood pub in Hove, tucked away in Poets' Corner. It's got a roaring fire in winter, a sunny beer garden for pints where your four-legged friends love to hang out (they are also welcome inside). The kitchen serves up solid pub classics and traditional Sunday roasts, including options for vegans, and there's always something going on, including live music, pottery workshops, storytelling nights, you name it. Dogs, kids, and locals all pile in here, and it's not hard to see why.
