The best brunch in Hove

Hixon Green is Hove's cool all-day hangout, part brunch spot, part cocktail bar. The vibe's pure New York loft with a Sussex twist, with moody lighting, plush seating and tasty plates. Brunch is a modern British affair with a few global influences, such as eggs and avocado, alongside fresh fish, vegan bowls, and pastries. It's a great shout for a long lunch or quiet coffee.

On Western Road, Nord channels cool, Scandi calm with a minimalist, wood-clad space and a menu that flits between wholesome and indulgent. It has a bright yellow exterior, which you definitely can't miss, and the staff are always super friendly. The vibe's relaxed, and it's all about the classics everyone loves, minus the frills.

A joint venture from Cracked and Back Yard Coffee, it's all about comfort done right, serving a menu of dishes like grilled cheese with chilli jam, or the “Breakfast Bird,” a fried chicken and egg bun.
