The Set Restaurant

£££-££££ British restaurant

Evolving from a pop-up project at the nearby Cafe Rust to a permanent location, Brighton restaurant The Set is tiny, with just 12 covers. Focusing primarily on dinner and tasting menus, this is in many ways a fine dining experience, but also, in many ways, it is not. There's no unnecessary faff or rigid rulebook here. The small kitchen team cooks food based on nostalgia, travel, and even takeaways, prioritising simplicity to serve a menu that's interesting to them and their guests alike, paired with alcoholic drinks from around the world.
