June sees the return of a special food festival to Manchester, which in previous years has had people queuing down the street. Modern Polish restaurant Platzki in Deansgate has announced that its pierogi festival will take place between 12th and 14th June this year, offering you a whole load of dumplings to enjoy.

For the duration of the festival, Platzki will be dispensing with its usual menu of authentic Polish dishes and concentrating solely on serving delicious pierogi. Diners can get their hands on dumplings with meat, vegetarian, vegan fillings, as well as sweet dessert pierogi if your first course just wasn't enough. You can eat yours in the homey and welcoming restaurant or grab some to take away.

Such is the popularity of the pierogi fest that you can't book a table, so you'll have to be ready to queue to get your hands on the food. Food will be served from 1-10pm on a first-come-first-served basis. Make sure you're on time so you can sample these delicious traditional dumplings.
