Porta, the casual tapas bar concept developed in 2012 by brothers Ben and Joe Wright, has announced it will be taking over the former Greens site in Didsbury for its third location in the Greater Manchester area.

Taking its cue from the traditional tapas bars found across Spain and Portugal, Porta serves classic tapas and pintxos in a relaxed, vibrant setting where everyone will feel welcome as they eat their way through plates of Spanish cheeses, Padron peppers, tortillas, seafood, and more. Drinks such as sherry, cava, and cocktails are served as well, rounding off the authentic experience.

Porta has proven to be a hit in other parts of Greater Manchester, with locations in Altrincham and Salford, as well as one in Chester. Now it's expanding to Didsbury. Slated for an opening next month, the new branch will be taking over the former Greens site, which closed down earlier this year. While it was sad to see that one go, the new opening promises to be an exciting new addition to the local dining scene.
