On 25 and 26 October, giant monsters will rule the streets and rooftops of Manchester as part of the biggest city centre Halloween celebration in the UK.

The free Halloween in the City festival features two days of frightful fun for the whole family, highlighted by giant inflatable monsters occupying the rooftops of landmark buildings like Manchester Arndale, Printworks, and the AO Arena. In addition, notable buildings across Manchester will glow a ghoulish green colour at night.

The festival also features a varied programme of events, including the Monster Party Procession with the slimy eight-metre Leech as the guest of honour, live music and DJs to do the Monster Mash to at the Rave-Yard in Exchange Square, a Carnival of Monsters in St Ann's Square, a monster sticker hunt, a spooktacular Monster Fashion Show, and more.
