Due to ongoing works, Albert Square has been unable to host a Christmas market since 2019, but that's finally coming to an end this winter.

Restoration works on the adjacent Town Hall are finally at a point where two thirds of Albert Square can be opened up to the public – and Santa's coming in hot to park his sleigh. The “A Taste of Christmas” market is bringing all sorts of festive fun to the heart of the city. Expect wooden chalets popping up, offering various gift-ready trinkets, as well as warming drinks, Christmassy treats, and other goodies. There will also be fairground rides and games, including a 50-metre Ferris wheel letting you take a closer look at the Town Hall restoration.

“A Taste of Christmas” will open on 7 November 2025 and last until 4 January 2026.
