French venture Luminiscence, famed for lighting up major landmarks around the world with incredible 360° projections, is making its way to the UK for the first time ever.

Launched in 2023, Luminiscence has so far lit up World Heritage Sites in cities around the world, including Barcelona, Bordeaux, Minneapolis, and Brussels, awing millions of visitors. For its debut show in the UK, the visually-stunning immersive spectacle will light up Manchester Cathedral with a 360° experience celebrating the story and culture of the city. The walk-through show will be accompanied by evergreen songs by Mancunian bands such as The Verve and Joy Division, performed by the Manchester Collectives Gospel Choir, and narrated by award-winning actor Christopher Eccleston.

Luminiscence will be at Manchester Cathedral from 14 January to 26 March 2026. Tickets go on sale at midday on 18 November – you can find out more and join the waitlist here.
