One of the UK's biggest festivals returns to Bolton this August Bank Holiday

Taking place in the Greater Manchester town of Bolton, the Bolton Food & Drink Festival is a massive undertaking, attracting upwards of half a million hungry, thirsty punters across the weekend, as well as some of the biggest culinary names in the country.

During this year's four-day event, Bolton will be taken over by more than 200 independent traders, street food stalls, pop-ups, shows, and more. Big names in attendance in 2024 include celebrity chefs James Martin and Ainsley Harriott, who'll be attending cooking demos throughout the weekend, and Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines, who will host a gala dinner. In addition to the great food and drinks to try around the town, there will also be all sorts of entertainment, including live music, immersive murder mystery dinners, a family-friendly zone with fun workshops, and more.

Bolton Food & Drink Festival 2024 will take place from Friday 23 August to Monday 26 August. During the festival, the population of Bolton more than doubles, so it pays to plan your visit in advance. You can find out more about the programme and book tickets for the various events on the festival website.
