Throughout January, Manchester pizza favourite Forbici, whose fans include Marco Pierre White, is offering a playful way for diners to halve their bill. Every day from 3–5pm, guests can challenge a member of staff to a single round of Rock, Paper, Scissors when the bill arrives, with a win earning a 50% discount.

The idea builds on the restaurant's popular receipt-cutting ritual and the signature scissors used to quarter the Neapolitan pizzas at the table. Forbici is also taking the concept to the streets with a St Ann's Square pop-up on 15 January, where passers-by can play for a half-price voucher.

Alongside the game, the pizzeria has launching seasonal specials including a vegan Marinara Tre Pomodori, the returning Scarole folded pizza, and an alcohol-free Hop Water from Track Brewery.

Head to Forbici until the end of the month to try your luck – you can book your table here.
