After what feels like a lifetime of rumours, Soho House has finally confirmed its Manchester debut. The doors officially open on 25 November, marking the first time the members' club has ventured north of London.
The new outpost takes over the old Granada Studios building in the St John's neighbourhood, spread across five floors, packed with everything from a rooftop pool to late-night bars and live music spaces. Manchester's first outdoor rooftop pool will be situated on the eighth floor, complete with loungers and its own bar for sunset gatherings.
Inside, there'll be all-day dining lounges and a members' restaurant, event spaces with DJ booths, and a spiral staircase that leads to a late-night bar. If you fancy making a night of it, there will be 22 bedrooms that range from 'Cosy' pads to an 80-square-metre two-bedroom apartment that's basically a private flat with room service.
As for wellness, expect a proper gym with studios, a steam room and sauna that open onto a balcony, and changing rooms that feel more like a boutique hotel than a gym chain.
Design-wise, the interiors pay homage to the 1950s and 1960s Granada Studios heritage, featuring vintage furniture and neutral tones that keep the classic Soho House aesthetic, but with a Mancunian twist.
Membership starts at £2,400 a year, or £3,450 if you want access to every Soho House around the world. Applications are open now.
