Half Dozen Other Cheetham Hill

Half Dozen Other is the bakery offshoot of Manchester's popular Pot Kettle Black cafés. The artisanal bakehouse in Cheetham Hill offers modern takes on classic baked goods such as croissants, Danishes, cookies, and more, often featuring crazy flavour combinations.

Formerly known as PKB Bakehouse, Half Dozen Other began in 2017 when Pot Kettle Black owners Jon and Mark decided to produce high-quality baked goods in-house. Partnering with Manchester baker Mark Wegner, they opened the inaugural PKB Bakehouse next to their Barton Arcade coffee shop, starting with handmade doughs and croissants. As their offerings gained popularity, they expanded their team with apprentices and skilled bakers, eventually relocating to the current unit at Redbank Court, where they continue to refine classic recipes with modern twists. 

Committed to delivering Manchester's finest baked goods, Half Dozen Other runs an established wholesale business, supplying a core range of breads and pastries to venues in the Greater Manchester area daily. In addition, the Manchester bakery throws open the doors of its bakehouse on weekends, with punters lining up at the counter to pick up a seasonal special, along with some coffee or fresh OJ. It's first come, first served, and once they sell out, that's it for the day, so getting there early is key.
