Cocktail bar

Hidden away in the bank vault of what was once Manchester's Stock Exchange, there's Sterling, a luxury bar serving award-winning drinks and tasty snacks. The venue opened in 2022 and is considered one of the city's best-kept secrets. You can be certain that the drinks are pretty great too – this bar is a venture from the team behind Schofield's Bar, a Spinningfields venue that has been named the best bar in the country more than once.

In evocative surroundings, Sterling brings the glamour of the roaring 20s to life, making it a top venue for when you need some escapism. The setting is sleek and stylish, featuring polished wood, curved leather banquettes, and sophisticated style. As well as the main bar, there's a wine room that you can book out for an even more exclusive drinking experience. As if the setting wasn't atmospheric enough, the bar hosts live music every Friday and Saturday to really add to the vibe.

The bar serves a variety of original cocktails inspired by the prohibition age, including some special drinks mixed up with rare and vintage spirits. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and alcohol-free cocktails are also available here, in addition to an extensive list of spirits from all over the world. A variety of bar snacks are on offer too, from beer-battered pickles and oysters to Cajun fries and Nashville chicken wings. For satisfying and distinctive food and drinks in a space that's brimming with atmosphere, Sterling is a secretive venue that you really need to know about.
