This Victorian steel viaduct has been transformed more recently into a leafy sky garden in the middle of Manchester. It's a peaceful and well-designed landmark with great views. The National Trust runs free guided tours every morning but you're also welcome to turn up and explore at your own pace. The space combines history with relaxation in the heart of the city.
