Ad Maiora is the inspiring story of a couple who quit their jobs to focus on selling sandwiches from their flat, and Manchester is all the better for it. Their sandwiches use schiacciata, a special kind of Italian flatbread, and various authentic fillings such as Parma ham, pesto, or 'nduja. The owners' playful approach is reflected in the inventive sandwich combos, and the sarnies are notoriously large – particularly The Beast, a massive 1kg effort with ten different ingredients.
