Medlock Canteen

Sitting somewhere between a French bistro and an American diner, Medlock Canteen opened in 2024 and soon became a hit with local diners and food critics alike. Food is served throughout the day at this bustling venue – whatever the occasion, it's an ideal destination, from quick breakfasts to long and relaxed dinners. 

The venue has a modern and trendy style with retro touches, contrasting colours, and a warm and friendly ambience. Indoor and outdoor seats are available. Throughout the day you can sample hearty dishes like rotisserie chicken, whole market fish, and turkey schnitzel. If you're lucky, you can get a portion of whatever the staff meal is that day – availability is limited because the staff are happy to sing its praises. The restaurant also does a Sunday roast and has a separate vegan menu. Creative cocktails and a concise wine list are available to enhance your meal.
