Launched way back in 1970 as a workers' cooperative, The Eighth Day remains true to its founding principles to this day. Aiming to offer everything you need for an eco-conscious lifestyle, the store is stocked with a comprehensive assortment of meat- and animal cruelty-free products, from groceries and fresh fruit and veg to beauty and cleaning products. There's also a colourful café on the premises, serving healthy, meat-free lunch fare such as curries and bowls, as well as cakes, speciality coffee, freshly-made smoothies, and more.
