A Stockport brewery is launching its first ever beer festival

A brewery and taproom in Stockport has announced its first ever beer festival to celebrate its 10th anniversary and one year since it moved into its current premises. Runaway Brewery is known for brewing contemporary beers using traditional methods and runs brewery tours and tastings, as well as having a taproom and bottle shop where you can stop by for a drink.

Taking place between 30th May and 2nd June, the event will feature new beers produced especially for the occasion, including collaborations with others from Manchester's food and drink scene. The brewery will expand the number of taps it has to offer 30 different beers across three different bars, including a pop-up bar in the garden that'll specialise in seasonal session beers. Expect classics from Runaway Brewery's past as well as new brews and birthday specials.

It's not just the beer that'll make this event special. Pizza will be provided by Honest Crust, plus there will be other food vendors available. Added to that, an exciting line-up of DJs will be spinning tunes covering genres like funk, soul, disco, and hip hop. The closing party on 2nd June will see the taproom opening on a Sunday for the first time, hosting a more relaxed session with board games, dub, reggae, and birthday cake. Entry is free throughout the event and there's no need to book in advance – simply turn up on the day to enjoy some birthday fun.
