If you've wandered through London's West End, you've likely passed Lina Stores – a green-fronted Italian deli known for their fresh pasta, sweet treats and classic deli goods. They have several spots all around the city, and now the beloved brand is heading north, opening its first site outside the capital right here in Manchester. It's set to open later this month opposite the Opera House on Quay Street on 17 April.
The new venue will feature both a restaurant and a deli – ideal for pre-theatre dining or a quick lunch stop. The menu includes long-standing favourites like carbonara, aubergine polpette, and tiramisu, as well as new additions such as pici alla Norcina – a rich Umbrian dish made with hand-rolled pasta, porcini mushrooms and lamb sausage. You'll also find burrata with olive oil, fresh ravioli, truffle tagliolini, crispy chicken Milanese, and hispi cabbage with sweet and sour onions and capers. It will also house Bar Lina, where you can enjoy Italian cocktails in their new sleek space.

Desserts stay true to tradition, with rum baba, cannoli, and classic tiramisu on offer. For those in a rush, the deli offers takeaway sandwiches, salads, sweet bites, and espresso, plus pantry staples to take home.
To celebrate the soft launch, there's 50% off fresh counter food and takeaway coffee from Friday 11 to Wednesday 16 April. Lina Stores Manchester officially opens on Thursday 17 April.
