Manchester is getting an official Olympics Fanzone this summer

The 2024 Olympic Games are set to kick off in Paris on 26th July and we're all keen to cheer on Team GB. If you're not one of the half a million British fans travelling to France to watch the games in person, you can still take in all of the action in the heart of Manchester. The city is one of only 10 locations selected by Team GB for an official Fanzone, where you'll be able to watch what's happening throughout the entire games.

The Fanzone will be located in the middle of the city at The Lawn Club in Spinningfields. It'll be open every day from the opening ceremony of the games on 26th July to the closing ceremony on 11th August. All of the sporting action will be screened here, plus there will be special appearances from top British Olympic athletes both past and present. The Manchester Fanzone will be wheelchair-accessible and boast a large raised outer deck to ensure great views of the big screen. Food and drinks from The Lawn Club will be available throughout the day so you can watch all the excitement in comfort.

Other Fanzones have also been announced for London, Bristol, Liverpool, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and Southampton, but the aim is to secure even more sites across the country in the lead-up to the games.
