Manchester's Courts Club is getting a festive makeover in November

The sports facility and bar in the St. John's redevelopment will turn into a lively spot for a bit of winter fun in November.

During summer, Courts Club is a prime spot for watching basketball and tennis players battle on the outdoor court as you sit back in your comfy courtside deckchair and enjoy a freshly poured pint with some street grub – or enter the fray yourself to show 'em how it's done. With the winter temperatures clamping down on the fun, however, the sports venue and bar is pivoting towards a more suitable festive offering.

Winter Assembly, as they're calling their seasonal makeover, will transform the Goods Yard venue into a lively holiday spot complete with Christmas decor and trees. Their basketball and tennis court will make room for a family-friendly ice rink. Meanwhile, those who prefer their fun indoors, warm, and not necessarily in tune can book one of the Winter Assembly karaoke chalets. The on-site food and drink vendors will also refresh their offerings to serve up festive treats such as boozy hot choc, festive grilled cheese, roaring marshmallow fire pits, and more. Special events such as feel-good film holiday film screenings will also be held here.

Courts Club's Winter Assembly launches on 8 November. You can find out more about it and book your table here
