Commuters celebrated when Victoria Tap launched in Manchester last year, bringing the popular Piccadilly Tap to Victoria Station, making delays that little bit more bearable. Now, the team has quietly debuted a third venue: the Oxford Road Tap, catering to travellers at the UK's worst train station, Oxford Road.
The Oxford Road Tap opened on Friday, 13 December, and offers a welcome respite at one of the UK's worst train stations for commuters, helping to make delays and cancellations a little more bearable. The small venue is situated directly opposite the entrance to the bustling train station on the city centre's southern side.
Victoria Tap's team has promised to serve top-quality ale and provide the perfect spot to unwind before or after travels. Oxford Road is one of the city's busiest train stations, and the new pub's prime location means commuters won't be stuck with nowhere to go if they're faced with hold-ups.
It might be small, but Victoria Tap boasts an impressive 19 kegs and five beer casks, focusing on brews from across the region. There's also a heated beer garden that extends all the way down to the tracks—perfect for channelling your inner Francis Bourgeois.
The Oxford Road Tap pub is now open in Manchester every day from 11am until late.
