Originally launched in Nottingham, The Tap House has proven a big hit with its self-service concept. Upon arrival, patrons get a personalised tab card used to activate the drinks machines, then its just a matter of choosing your champion and putting your pouring skills to the test.

This week, The Tap House has opened a branch in Manchester, fitted with no fewer than 24 beer lines. Brews on offer at The Tap House Manchester range from classic lagers to locally brewed specialities and hard-to-find delicacies, and that's even before you get to the wine dispensary. Sixteen different wines are available here at the push of a button. The modern venue in Circle Square has also teamed up with Fat Frank's Pizza to make sure you won't be drinking on an empty stomach.

All in all, this looks like a fun addition to Manchester's bar scene, so get on down there and give it a try – you can let us know what you think of it by leaving a review. Just remember, if you're unhappy with the service, that's totally on you.
