A new food and drink venue called The Trading Route is set to open in Manchester's St John's district this November, created by the teams behind Trof, Manchester Union Brewery, and The Wandering Palate. The venue will serve cold beer, hot chicken from a purpose-built rotisserie, and offer luxury provisions from The Wandering Palate, such as fine wines and cheeses.
The Trading Route will act as a lager house for Manchester Union Brewery, with fresh lager straight from the brewery poured using a continental technique and served in custom glasses. The venue, designed by PHAUS, will host 150 guests across indoor and outdoor spaces. With Manchester's acclaimed Trof running the culinary side of things, the venue is positioning itself as an all-day dining destination too, from breakfast through to evening meals. Meanwhile, Monton-based wine shop and deli The Wandering Palate will be bringing their curated selection of wines, cheeses, and artisanal goods to a new city centre audience.
The new addition is part of the ongoing development of St. John's, set to become a bustling neighbourhood with other venues arriving soon.
