Trof Group, the team behind Ramona and The Firehouse, is launching Detroit Slims, a quick-service pizza joint specialising in the popular Detroit style of pizzas – rectangular pan pizzas with a thick crust.

Set to open in Manchester City Centre this autumn, Detroit Slims will serve ten-inch rectangular pizzas with a variety of inventive and indulgent toppings such as Cheese Burger or Barbecue Meat Feast. Sides include crispy fries and chicken tenders, and there's a whole bunch of dips to choose from as well. You can round off your meal with a milkshake and other desserts.

The new restaurant has 30 covers and is located in Circle Square, but Trof Group say this is just the beginning. A second site in the Greater Manchester area is already in the works, and long-term plans include nationwide expansion for the grab-and-go brand. Best of all, they're celebrating the launch of their new brand by handing out no fewer than 10,000 free pizzas. All you have to do to claim yours is sign up to their mailing list here and follow them on the 'Gram.
