Championing the sushi hand roll format first popularised in Melbourne, Rolled is gearing up for a big push into the UK market. For their inaugural location in this part of the world, they've picked the Trafford Centre in Manchester.

Rolled is a popular Australian sushi brand specialising in hand rolls – sushi rolls that aren't cut up into pieces, making them extremely convenient for an on-the-go meal. They were originally invented in Melbourne in the 1990s but have since gained in popularity not just Down Under, but around the world, and now they're about to roll up to the UK as well.

In their rolls, Rolled fuses traditional Japanese technique with modern Aussie flavours and creative spins, serving the likes of spicy tuna roll, salmon smashed avo roll, and The Bondi Roll, an Australian breakfast in a roll. The fast-casual brand's debut UK location is a to-go kiosk at The Trafford Centre, but that's just the beginning of a major, ahem, roll-out – they're hoping to become a UK fixture with potentially hundreds of sites across the country.

Rolled launches in Manchester on Friday 16 August.
