Chorlton's beloved Delhi-inspired eatery Indian Affair is set to launch a new restaurant in the city centre this month, taking over the former Rigatoni's location on Blossom Street.
Rigatoni's, a pasta restaurant, closed earlier this year, and now husband-and-wife duo Harshit and Natasha Chopra are stepping in to revitalise the top spot just off the bustling Cutting Room Square.
Indian Affair has gained a reputation for serving traditional Indian cuisine since opening on Barlow Moor Road in Autumn 2022. The menu is brimming with modern dishes served family-style, focusing on small plates and thalis, with dishes served on a traditional Indian round platter.
The small plates will feature dishes like chicken tikka samosas, spinach fritters topped with yoghurt, tamarind, and mint chutney, chargrilled lamb chops, and tandoori king prawns marinated in garlic and garam masala. There will also be traditional biryanis and a selection of rice and chutneys, alongside freshly made naans, paranthas, and rotis straight from the tandoor oven. They will also launch a lunch menu featuring things like stuffed naans, a new venture for Indian Affair.
Indian Affair will open in Ancoats on Monday, September 16, and reservations will be available starting Friday, September 20.
