With the cost of living going through the roof, the idea of a sandwich for less than £1 probably sounds ridiculous. But what if we told you that you could get one for just 9p? It might seem like madness but it's actually true thanks to local favourites Ad Maiora and Deliveroo.
To celebrate the ninth anniversary of Deliveroo operating in Manchester, the platform has teamed up with sandwich specialists Ad Maiora to offer a limited edition celebration sandwich for just 9p a pop. Named “The Scran-wich”, this thing weighs in at 500 grams, offering unbeatable value for money. It features the restaurant's signature schiacciata bread packed with authentic Italian ingredients that take inspiration from Manchester. Between the bread you'll find “supersonic” spicy salami, “nowt better” nduja, mozzarella footballs, sliced Haçienda heritage tomatoes, Italian wild rocket, olives, mayonnaise, fresh “buzzing bee” basil, and “let's 'ave it” red onions.
The sandwich is only available until 2nd May and there are only 300 sandwiches on offer, so you'd better be quick if you want to get your hands on this one. The sandwich is exclusively available from the Ancoats branch of Ad Maiora and is only available if you order via Deliveroo.
