This autumn, some of Manchester's best-loved restaurants are coming together for a week-long charity food festival organised by Eat Well MCR.

From 21 to 27 October, special events will be held at places like Ramona, Where The Light Gets In, 10 Tib Lane, Maray, Great North Pie Co, and more.

The festival will culminate in a vibrant party at Ramona on 27 October, with music from Stells Selections. Everyone—whether you work in hospitality, own a restaurant, or simply love food—is welcome to attend, and all proceeds will support Eat Well.

Eat Well MCR was started by McTague, Kathleen O'Connor, and Gemma Saunders at the beginning of the lockdown. They began by saving food that would otherwise go to waste and rallied restaurants and chefs—from Hawksmoor to Tampopo to Honest Crust—to turn surplus into meals for those in need. Since then, they've provided over 100,000 meals to people facing food insecurity across Greater Manchester.

Now, they deliver over 2,500 monthly meals to hostels, refugees, and families in hospitals, food banks, and schools.

If you'd like to get involved, contact Eat Well MCR here to find out how you can help.
