The Michelin Guide has revealed the place and location of next year's highly anticipated awards ceremony for restaurants in Great Britain and Ireland.
A Michelin star is considered the pinnacle of culinary accolades, and the excitement builds to a fever pitch before the annual announcement. Chefs eagerly await the verdict that could validate years of dedication and skill, diners hope their beloved local spot will gain the recognition they feel it deserves, seasoned Michelin-starred restaurateurs anxiously prepare, hoping to hold onto their stars or hope to gain another, and local authorities cross their fingers for the influx of gourmet tourism. In essence, the Michelin Guide awards are a Big Deal™ in the culinary world.
The new recipients of Michelin stars and green stars in Great Britain and Ireland will be revealed at an awards ceremony held at the renowned Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow on 10 February, marking the first time the event is held in Scotland. The entire ceremony will also be streamed via YouTube, so you'll be able to follow along right here, wherever you are.
