Humbug is a new pop-up restaurant at The Bungalow at Kampus, dreamed up by the brilliant minds behind Where The Light Gets In. It's so much more than just another spot to grab a burger in Manchester; it's where fast food meets conscious consumption through a journey of just one single cow.
With this new venture, Humbug is asking us to take a closer look at the historical, social, and ecological impacts of fast food, inviting us to consider how a modern city can thrive with sustainability in mind. It's all about being open and honest about where our food comes from. The restaurant uses every part of one traceable animal, offering a clear alternative to the elusiveness surrounding how most food in cities is produced. Each piece of meat has its own story, making it a thoughtful alternative from the unknown origins of much of what we eat.
Over the next month, Humbug will share the story of this single cow, exploring its journey's relevance to the history and future of fast food. It's a story that combines tradition and innovation, encouraging us to think deeply about what we eat and the systems that make it possible.
You'll find Humbug at The Bungalow at Kampus from Monday to Sunday, 10 January - 2 February.
