Hidden behind The Old Market, The Bottom's Rest is the kind of pub that feels like a proper local, just with levelled-up G&Ts. It's Brighton Gin's own corner spot, so naturally the cocktail list is more botanical, but there's also a cracking line-up of beers, ciders, and low-alc options to keep everyone happy. It's extra cosy in winter with a log fire and a sunny terrace in summer, so it's great year-round. They often have a guest kitchen serving food, and roasts are a big deal (with vegan and gluten-free options included). The monthly pub quiz is also known to be fiercely competitive.
