Most people might associate Gotland with Visby, but there are so many other beautiful places on the island to discover. Fårö, Tofta, Gotska Sandön, Klintehamn... The heart of Gotland

Visby is the largest urban settlement in Gotland and therefore a popular tourist destination. It's not surprising that the medieval city houses a variety of hotels and other pleasant accommodations. To make it easy for those booking a hotel in Visby, we've gathered the very best options in this guide. However, remember to book well in advance, as it quickly gets fully booked during the peak season.

Hotel Stelor

This charming farmhouse hotel is around 25 minutes south of Visby. There's a large 18th century stone house housing seven unique rooms and a kitchen, as well as a red barn that's perfect for weddings, parties, and other events. Just a few hundred metres away is the beach, and you can go horse riding, golfing, or surfing nearby. During the summer, rooms can be booked individually but during the rest of the year you need to rent out the entire hotel.

Beautiful Fårö also has several restaurants and cafés, a bakery, flea markets, and sales of souvenirs and handicrafts.
