Is your favourite local restaurant in need of a paint job and a boost in the old financial department? Better yet, do you run a small London resto yourself and are looking to spruce things up? If you've answered yes to either, the IDA Foundation's 2023 grant might be what you're looking for.

For the second year in a row, the US-based International Downtown Association Foundation, supported by American Express, will be granting a total of £70,000 to selected restaurants in London. The IDA Foundation's Backing International Small Restaurants programme is aimed at “small, independent restaurants owned by individuals from underrepresented and/or economically vulnerable groups to help make critical improvements needed to help boost their business, such as enhancing digital capabilities, building or revitalizing their dining spaces, and making other physical improvements.” Six eligible restaurants will be selected from among all applicants, each receiving £11,500.

Applications are open until 7 July, with the grantees to be announced in September. Find more details on how to apply here.
