This year is the third edition of the Festival of Queer Literature in Spanish in London – a venture by the London-based online bookstore Romancero Books CIC. It will take place between Wednesday, 22 and Sunday, 26 November, in different venues across the city, from Foyles Bookstore and the Spanish Embassy to the Cervantes Institute in London, Poster Hauss, The Common Press bookshop and more.
This year at FQLSL, they are hosting some of the most profound names of Queer literature and LGTBIQ+ activism from Spain and Latin America, such as fashion and Queer photographers Alejandro Simón Partal, Paco y Manolo, Leticia Ybarra and Natalia Figueroa, to name a few. There will also be a talk with author and philosopher Elizabeth Duval, Queer poetry readings by Hasier Larretxea, Juan de Salas, Leticia Ybarra, Rodrigo García Marina and Alejandro Simón Partal, and a talk with the editors and directors of the zine Kink, Paco y Manolo, amongst more.
The programme comprises seven live events, two podcast episodes and two online talks.
