Camden Market is launching its free Summer of Sound festival on 18 July, running for six weeks and celebrating the area's iconic music scene with live performances, cultural events, and family-friendly activities. Headlining the programme is the Back 2 Life Café series, curated by Soul II Soul's Jazzie B, featuring Friday night DJ sets from legends like David Rodigan, Shy One, and Jazzie B himself.

The festival kicks off with a pre-launch set by Jerry Dammers (The Specials). Other highlights include a live Amy Winehouse tribute, performances from The Big Sing, and a vibrant Bollywood Mela weekend. There's also a Carnival warm-up spotlighting emerging talent and a grand finale DJ set from Fat Tony on 30 August, while weekly Family Fun Days offer bubble shows, Lego workshops, crafting, and more for children.
All Summer of Sound events are free and open to the public, with bookings available online or walk-ins welcome. You can find out more about the festival on the website here.
