Wassailing, historically linked to ensuring a good apple harvest, has long been a festive tradition in parts of England. The Belles of London City are inviting you to an underground wassail in Rotherhithe, blending traditional Yuletide celebrations with music, dance, and merrymaking.

Starting off with lively morris dancing performance on the Brunel Museum's piazza, accompanied by mulled drinks, the event will then continue in the museum's atmospheric Tunnel Shaft with a dance and wassail song workshop. After the workshop, everyone will return to the museum garden for the traditional wassail dance and ceremony. A bar in the Engine House will serve mulled cider, wine, and beer, alongside spiced apple juice for a non-alcoholic option.

The Brunel Museum Wassail will take place from 1 to 3pm on Saturday 25 January, with tickets starting at £15. Find out more and book your spot here.
