Brown's Hotel in Mayfair, London's oldest luxury hotel, has just announced a brand new jazz series, The Drawing Room After Dark. The series will run every Tuesday to Thursday evening until 19 December, aiming to unite the ambience of the iconic Drawing Room with the demand for more intimate music venues in London's prestigious Mayfair postcode.
Every evening from 8 pm—11 pm, the historic Drawing Room will transform into a cosy jazz club where some of the most established figures of UK jazz will collaborate with London's most exciting emerging artists. This will bring the distinctive vibe of a New York jazz club to the heart of Mayfair. Expect a surprise lineup of pianists, saxophonists, bassists, and drummers.
Richard Cooke, Managing Director of Brown's Hotel, comments, "We are bringing musicians together to perform in a curated manner. This is all about the music, although we have a menu of food and drinks available."
Although music is the highlight, a tasty menu will be available, with special dishes such as Cuttlefish Arancini, Cured Monkfish, and Tuna Sando. The drinks menu won't be skipped; there will be signature cocktails, such as the Tuxedo and the Old-Fashioned, reimagined by Donovan Bar's creative team led by Federico Pavan, the Director of Mixology.
Liam Dunachie and Mátyás Gayer, Curators of the After Dark series, say, "We're very much looking forward to this exciting opportunity to bring world-class musicians to this new and unique addition to London's thriving jazz scene this "autumn.”
The Drawing Room After Dark will start at 8 PM on 1 October and run every Tuesday to Thursday evening until 19 December.
