British Kebab Awards: London kebab joints get it döne

The 2023 British Kebab Awards have been revealed, and London took home a bunch of the honours.
The annual British Kebab Awards aim to acknowledge and support the efforts of local kebab takeaways and restaurants across the UK. People can vote for their favourite kebab shop to be recognised as the best in the country, with a range of awards categories available to compete in.
At the 2023 British Kebab Awards, London-based kebab takeaways and restaurants won big across a number of categories. For starters, Pasha Mangal in Balham was named Best Regional Kebab Restaurant, while Beit El Zaytoun in Harlesden was named Best Lebanese Restaurant – in the entire country, that is. Also on the subject of best in the UK – Reubens Restaurant in Marylebone, the Best Kosher Shawarma Restaurant.
On the regional front, Divan in Finchley was named Best Kebab Restaurant in North and West London, with Yaprak in Ruislip receiving special mention. On the other end of the city, Cyprus Mangal in Victoria took home the top honour in South and East London, with Lara Grill in Dagenham highly recommended as well. As for takeaway, you'll have to make your way to Kervan Saray in Romford for the Best Takeaway in London.
A couple of other London joints received special mention in their respective categories. South London's Turkuaz comes highly recommended according to customer satisfaction criteria, while Tony's Pita came runner-up in the Best Greek Restaurant category.
