So Last Century is heading back to Dulwich Picture Gallery for a two-day Christmas Vintage Market, taking place on 6 and 7 December. Around twenty vintage traders will be spread across the Linbury Room, Art Studio and Cloisters, each selling a curated mix of mid-century pieces and winter finds. You can expect everything from retro homeware and original art to ceramics, antique maps, French brocante and a fair amount of jewellery.
The market will also spill out into the gardens where you will find more vintage stalls, festive flowers and wreaths from Yolly and street crêpes from Sarrasin. The on-site Flotsam & Jetsam cafe will be open if you want something warmer, so you can grab a mulled wine or hot chocolate before looking around the rest of the Gallery.
While you're there, you can wander through the new Anna Ancher exhibition or dip into the permanent collection, which includes work from Peckham-based artists like Lisa Contucci and Clifton Wright. The gardens and the gift shop are also worth a wander if you are keen to make a day of it.
The market runs on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December, so wrap up and head over if you want Christmas gift ideas that feel a bit more thoughtful than the usual online panic shop.
