The Royal Air Force Museum in Barnet is launching a series of family-friendly workshops where children will be able to build models of historic fighter aircraft such as the pride of the RAF, the Supermarine Spitfire, the notorious Messerschmitt, and the acrobatic Red Arrows Hawk.

The Airfix Model Club will take place across ten weekends in 2026, with all participants receiving an engineers' licence that not only tracks their progress across the series, with an exclusive mystery aircraft for those who complete the full run, but also entitles bearers to a discount on all Airfix kits in the museum shop.

You can find out more about the Airfix Model Club at the RAF Museum and book your spot here. The club is suitable for children aged 8 and up.
