Talented chef Mmabatho Molefe of Cape Town's Emazulwini will visit Fitzrovia's culinary hub and wine bar for a 12-day residency.

Mmabatho Molefe is a talented young chef renowned for her contemporary take on traditional Zulu cuisine as much as her pioneering approach to hospitality – she was named one of The World's 50 Next in 2022 thanks to her work empowering Black women and challenging preconceived notions of indigenous cooking.

From 27 June to 8 July, Molefe will be a resident at Carousel, a wine bar and open kitchen in Fitzrovia that features a rotating cast of some of the most talented chefs in the world. As the 300th guest chef to take over Carousel's kitchen, she'll be showcasing her culinary prowess through a tasting menu celebrating local South African ingredients, reimagined with the help of modern techniques.

You can find more information and how to book on Carousel's website.
