Chucs Mayfair Café is giving the humble sandwich a bit of a glow-up with a new lineup of specials. Think familiar formats but with way better ingredients.
The current menu includes a rich ox cheek sandwich layered with Gruyère and truffle – slow-cooked, savoury and definitely not a desk lunch – alongside a pan-fried mortadella and provolone bap, finished with Dijon mustard and mayo for a hit of sharpness. Later in the season, a grilled steak sandwich is set to join the lineup, topped with melted Raclette, horseradish dressing, rocket and tomato.

These sandwiches stick to classic ideas but add just enough flourish to feel that little bit more special, whether it's truffle with ox cheek or Raclette melting into grilled steak. They're filling and clearly designed for sitting down and enjoying rather than grabbing on the go.
As with everything at Chucs, the setting does a lot of the work, with the Mayfair café keeping things relaxed but elegant – and the new sandwich specials available to order now, with the steak sandwich landing later this season.
