Daly's has made a comeback, and it's had quite the glow-up. The long-loved wine bar opposite the Royal Courts of Justice has reopened as Daly's Wine Bar & Beer Hall, giving Londoners two very different reasons to stop by. Upstairs, it's all polished glasses and chatter over Malbec, but head downstairs, it's clinking pints, darts, and match-day cheers.
The ground-floor wine bar serves a menu curated by Berkmann Wine Cellars, which means there's plenty to choose from, such as Malbecs from Argentina, Vinho Verde from Portugal, and big-name bottles like Macán Clásico Rioja or Veuve Clicquot if you're splashing out. The food menu is led by Head Chef Tahreem Hossain, who keeps things hearty and classic with British comfort dishes designed for sharing. There's prawn and duck fat rillettes, Cobble Lane charcuterie, and Oxfordshire steaks if you're going all out.
Head downstairs, and things take a livelier turn with the Beer Hall, which is the kind of place that fills up fast after work, with 16 beers on draft and a line-up that includes fresh lagers and punchy IPAs. The food is proper pub grub, with options like short rib nachos, sausage swirls, and cheesy rarebit. There are also two electric dartboards for a bit of friendly competition, plus all the big games shown across Sky and TNT Sports.
Come for a quiet glass of wine one night and a full round of beers the next. Daly's is open now on The Strand.
