Chef duo Louis Korovilas and Taylor Sessegnon-Shakespeare (ex-Pied à Terre and Bancone) are launching their first solo venture together, Dante London, opening Friday 1st August inside the Islington Arts Club.

The 27-cover restaurant will serve a refined European tasting menu, rooted in French and Italian traditions but with a modern approach. Expect to see dishes like broad bean orzotto with glazed chicken wing, aubergine scarpece with clam bagna cauda, and beef carpaccio with oyster mayo and baby artichokes.

Korovilas and Sessegnon-Shakespeare take the reins in the kitchen every weekend (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch), working nose-to-tail with whole animals and underused cuts to honour the produce and minimise waste.

Inside, the mismatched furniture gives the place an edge, and the cosy, candlelit vibe is perfect for date nights. There's only one sitting a night for now, so reservations are highly recommended.

Soft launch menus are £55pp at the moment, rising to £65pp from 1st August once officially open. Walk-ins are limited, but email bookings and ticketed pre-orders are available through their website, with a secret off-menu course as a perk for those who book ahead.
