Decatur is a nationwide distributor of Southern American seafood meal kits – shrimp boils, gumbo, and the like – operating out of a railway arch in Leyton. They can also regularly be found at residencies and pop-ups, and though they don't offer dining in at their base of operations, they've started hosting Arch Parties on their doorstep.
The next such Arch Party, the Decatur BBQQ, is on 17 June and will feature the following menu:
- New Orleans-style Barbecue Shrimp & French Bread
- Chargrilled Oysters with Garlic Pecorino Butter & Hot Sauce
- Andouille Hot Dogs w/ Pool Room Slaw (Tofu Dog & All Beef Halal Version available)
- Boiled Seafood w/ All the Trimmings (incl. Viet-Cajun)
- Bitter Leaf, Barbecued Nectarine & Cornbread Salad
- Cucumber & Watermelon Iced Salad
- House Blend-spiced Pork Rinds
Frozen cocktails, cold beer and sodas will be served alongside as well. And no, that's not a typo in the title – the second Q in BBQQ stands for queue, as anyone who came to their inaugural bash in April can attest to. Show up early or be prepared to Q, as this is one popular yard party.
