This summer, independent food and drink platform Delli is shaking up the picnic scene with its “Ban Boring Picnics” pop-up series in Brockwell Park on 22 June and Victoria Park on 28 June. The aim is to challenge bland, supermarket-driven picnic culture by showcasing bold and independent food makers from across the UK. Visitors can expect free samples, drinks, and inventive snacks – but it's first come, first served.

Highlights include the “Upgrade Your Picnic” station, where people can trade in dull snacks for flavour-packed alternatives and take part in taste tests. Every guest will also receive a tote bag full of small-batch goodies from standout brands like Botivo and Superbon.

More than just a food giveaway, Delli is using this event to spark a movement celebrating food made with soul, not mass production. The pop-up is part of their wider “Ban Boring Food” campaign, calling for a new era of joyful, original, and independent eating.
