Between The Bridges is officially kicking off Christmas early this year, with the return of Electric Winter from Friday, 14 November. The South Bank spot is going all out again, with twinkly lights, winter markets, live music, DJs and a brand new festive neighbour, Wunder Bar, opening right next door.
Running until 22 December, the riverside venue is getting a full-on Christmas makeover. Every space will be heated, and the lineup is looking pretty stacked. Think Swiftogeddon for the Taylor Swift faithful, a 'Dirty Dancing' bottomless brunch, a Silent Disco, and even 'Barrioke' with Barry from 'EastEnders'.
Weekly nights are back too, including 'Flexin' Around The Christmas Tree' on Thursdays for RnB and garage throwbacks, 'Dock Disco' on Fridays for house and neo-disco beats, and 'Guilty Pleasures Christmas Specials' every Saturday for classic pop bangers. Sundays round off the weekend with 'Santa's Sunday Social', all free entry.
Over at Wunder Bar, Thursdays are for 'All I Want For Christmas Is Number 1s' – basically a Mariah-meets-Macca singalong of Christmas chart-toppers. Fridays and Saturdays host 'Singalonga', where the crowd joins in on everything from “Last Christmas” to “Sweet Caroline”, and Saturdays are all about 'Brunch, Actually', a 'Love Actually'-themed bottomless brunch hosted by a drag version of Martine McCutcheon.
Between The Bridges also promises a cracking lineup of food, with Mexican, burgers, pizza and vegan options to soak up all that mulled wine.
